disconnect the terminals to the battery with a wrench and set them aside in a safe spot. Put the new battery in it's spot and connect the negative(black) (this is the ground wire) to the battery first then the positive(red) last. Their may be a slight spark when you connect the red but its normal. You have to remove the brace between the fender and core support, and then the negative cable, the positive cable, the bolt on the battery hold down clamp at the bottom of the battery and lift it out. if you need help with a battery, then you really are the dumbest car illiterate person I've seen so far. All you do is loosen the clamp nuts and bolts, pry the clamp apart a little and upwards. That was for top post type. For side terminal just get a wrench and unscrew the bolts that hold the cables on.
