The watch is an egg shape but it seems impossible to remove the back of the watch part. I would suggest contacting the company that made the watch to see how to change the battery. Why not email Joan Rivers herself. Sounds like a watch I had, also with the same problem. I emailed her, she told me to send the watch to her, in the US mind, and her team would fix it. I sent it off and around a week %26amp; half later I got my watch back. do you think that is the reason it was given to charity??? typical when i worked in a charity shop we had a nice man who came around and did batteries for us, but the pendant being a so called designer one is probably one of those that HAS to be sent back to the manufacturer makes things more difficult, do you have a local market near by? have a look if there is a battery seller there? they seem to be able to open anything!! lol good luck!
