How could you avoid the computer to be resetted and therefore loose the ability of starting the car after wards since the key has the memory chip in it that would not be acknowledged by the starting system. You did not mention about the model year of your A4. You can replace all A4 battery by yourself without using any special tool and electronic equipment and the car will work fine. There are two things you may need to do after battery replacement.
