How do you change a battery for your Ipod?

I have a nano and sometimes when I am playing music on it and then I turn it off it will not turn back on. My dad says it might be the battery but He and I don't know how to change it out. Can anyone please help me? Thank you.How do you change a battery for your Ipod?
Its a sealed unit and the battery cant be replaced by the user, you need to send it back to Apple, or get a new one which may be the best option as if its turning its self off it doesn't sound to good, and if you pay for a new battery and that's not the problem it would be a waste of money. How do you change a battery for your Ipod?

According to many users, the battery is replacable by the user, with a few tools and the proper techinque:

Having replaced the battery in a 3rd generation iPod (NOT Nano), I can say that doing so is not for the faint of heart. Apparently, doing so on a Nano is even riskier.

There are places that will replace the battery besides the Apple Store. Apple will do it, and will stand behind the work (often simply replacing the iPod and its contents rather than doing the %26quot;surgery%26quot;). But at a cost. To replace an iPod touch's battery costs almost as much as buying a new one!

Here's a site that offers very reasonable rates to sell you the battery and install it as well:
  • myspace pages
  • favorite shampoo conditioner
