I owned a 2002 buick that the remote seems to be getting bad since it one has to be closer to unlock the car with the remove, I was wanting to know how to change the battery, did not want to mess up the code.How do you change batteries in a remote key lock for GM Products?
GM uses a rolling code technology for their remote functions. After you replace the battery in the remote, simply stand next to the vehicle, press and hold BOTH lock and unlock buttons on the remote until the door lock cycles. (usually about 15 seconds) This will resynchronize the remote to the Receiver.
