My sansa clip mp3 player won't cut on, can I change the battery?

If not how do I get it to come on? When I plug it into the computer an auto play screen comes up and scans for a couple of seconds and then closes and nothing.. Can anyone help?My sansa clip mp3 player won%26039;t cut on, can I change the battery?
