How far away from car should my Ford Fiesta remote key fob work?

Ford Fiesta 53 plate.

I used to be able to open doors from a distance but now i have to do it stood by car.

Have changed battery. How far away from car should my Ford Fiesta remote key fob work?
Perhaps surprisingly, they're only designed to work within a metre or so of the car, though they invariably have a much larger range than that. Holding the fob against your head does make a difference, it seems to use your skull as an extra aerial.

Personally, I'd invest in yet another battery, just in case the one you've inserted is dud. Make sure the contact faces are absolutely clean and don't hold the battery so your fingers touch both faces. How far away from car should my Ford Fiesta remote key fob work?
if you are using chargable bataries you might wana change then after a while because stop working properly after some time... and that might cause your remote problemHow far away from car should my Ford Fiesta remote key fob work?

Lights and speedometer go crazy after battery change?

Not sure how much of this might be related.

Several months ago, I noticed that my headlights would occasionally flicker at highway speeds. Since it was just a minor annoyance, I ignored it.

My (original, 9-yr-old, 90K mile!) battery died about a month ago and I replaced it. All was fine (except for the same flickering headlights) until yesterday, when my console battery light started flickering...constantly. I planned to take my car to AutoZone to get the computer checked, but before I could get there, I'm driving 45 mph when the speedometer drops to 0, my low fuel and airbag console lights come on, my headlights and interior lights go almost completely out, and the car starts lurching. (Scary!)

I just barely managed to get it home, where it's now parked. Before I buy a new alternator, does it sound like I just need to replace the alternator, or might it be something else?

(The car is a 1999 Ford Escort SE.)Lights and speedometer go crazy after battery change?
It's the alternator. The diode pack fried. When one of the diodes went, it gave you the flickering lights. When the rest went, your dc electrical system tried to run on ac. Lights and speedometer go crazy after battery change?
check your battery terminals. make sure they are clean and tight.Lights and speedometer go crazy after battery change?
Sounds like a problem in your motherboard. Ford is notorious for faulty computer problems.

How can i remove the back seat of a 2001 buick lesabre to change the battery?

The bottom cushion hinges forward on hooked anchor tabs at the lower front of the cushion. Take hold of the bottom cushion at the seam where it meets the bottom of the backrest and lift. The bottom cushion will hinge forward and the hooked tabs at the lower front of the cushion will release from the anchors so that you can lift the cushion out of the car.

They have a lot of stores nationwide, there might be one near where you live.

They also got videos online that teaches you how to do it yourself, for example this video:

    I have a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro with 2.8 engine.

Got a P0154 error code reading %26quot; O2 sensor circuit no activity detected. Bank 2 Sensor 1%26quot;. Would you please tell me how to locate the sensor and replace it?

P.S. Don't know if it helps, changed battery recently (shouldn't be low battery voltage), not changed time belt yet, 89000 miles.

Thanks for any help in advance.. .How to change Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor on 2000 Audi A6 2.8 engine?
It is on top of the cat located just behind the engine stuffed into the engine bay under the fire wall. PITA to get to.

I recommend purchasing a bentley manual. www.bentleypublishers.com or www.ecstuning.com and going to www.audiforums.com and signing in. You need to be on a thread to get better help.

Bank 2 is the drivers side (if your in the US) 1st sensor is on top of the cat.

Since you really need to get that timing belt done (no, 105,000 will be too long), let the shop tackle that issue as well.

    2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?

We're pretty sure it's the battery alone and not the alternator...I know it's labor-intensive (everything including changing spark plugs seems to be).

I have searched and searched and can't find anything that gives detailed instructions on how to replace a battery for my car.

I got jumped off and it died both times, so right now, it's stuck in the parking garage where I work and it would be difficult (if not impossible) to get a tow truck in there if we just had it towed.

PLEASE HELP!!! Detailed instructions copied from a reliable site would be great, OR a link to something.

I'm in a real predicament here. Hubby has to work tonight and it will leave me home alone with a 9 1/2 month old and no car. I have to figure this out so it can get fixed tomorrow...2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?
Obviously those who have responded haven't looked under the hood of a PT Cruiser. The battery isn't visible from atop the engine compartment. Replacing the battery is not something for someone of weak heart or short on nerves. This is a job best left to professional automotive mechanics at a Dodge dealership.2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?
The best description I have found of how to do this is here:

    2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?
if you jumped it and it still would not run, it is most likely the alternator. but if you want to change the battery, take it to walmart(or wherever) and ask a salesperson to help you pick the right battery. when you do that, go to your car, open the hood and you should see the battery with two terminals. disconnect the black one (ground)first. then disconnect the positive(red) and change the battery, puting the red wire on first then, the black one.2003 PT Cruiser battery change...?
generally all you have to do is unhook the pos and neg cables, pull battery out... you probably have to loosen the battery holder to get it out...if you can get the car to any auto supply store they will change it out for free...
